A church is Christ’s body for the improvement and support of the people of God. If this definition is not followed, it will be considered a non-church. No matter how big or small the Church may be, you will feel loved if you are seen, even at your doorstep. You will feel included and welcome back. Besides, many large institutions, banks, and companies have smaller customer service teams dealing with different problems. Why not compare the Church to these organizations? The Casino will find a way to make your situation worse (even though they have small groups), while the Church will take care of your spiritual needs for your good and improvement.
4. “Most of their followers seem dependent on the products they offer.”
Believing that the Church can offer a product is grossly ignorant and wrong. As a building, the Church is a place for believers to gather for edification and encouragement. They are showing love and worshipping God. The pastor and the congregation share the same purpose. The pastor is also ministered to through choir ministration or some testimonies. This is why it was originally defined as a place for believers’ edification and encouragement.
5. You will find people praying at churches and casinos.
This is absurd. The point also states, “praying for what they want from God” Are people allowed to pray in a casino? This is absurd. Some people want to make the Church look bad by blaming it on casinos. This can be an indirect or a direct slap. It is possible to pray in schools to pass exams. You can also pray in the market for a specific brand of product that you are looking for.
